About Me

As an UI/UX designer developer, I have embarked on a journey that centers around the tenets of architectural precision and the art of simplicity. This journey is a reflection of my transition from architectural design to the dynamic realm of web and app development, highlighting the striking similarities between the two disciplines.

My foundation in architecture, gained through studies at two distinguished universities, has ingrained in me a deep reverence for precision, meticulous planning, and the creation of spaces that elegantly merge form and function. It is within the world of architecture that I first encountered the profound principle that simplicity is the epitome of sophistication.

As I transitioned into web and app development, I discovered the intriguing parallelism between architectural blueprints and digital interfaces. The same precision required to create a blueprint for a structure mirrors the attention to detail demanded by crafting clean, intuitive user interfaces. Just as a well-designed building seamlessly accommodates its occupants, a user-friendly application or website seamlessly harmonizes with the users needs.

In my portfolio, you will find projects that epitomize the harmonious marriage of architectural precision and digital simplicity. By integrating clean lines, intuitive navigation, and a user-centric approach, I strive to create digital experiences that resonate with users, akin to the way a well-designed building resonates with its inhabitants.

While my journey in development and design is still unfolding, I remain passionately dedicated to honing my skills and embracing opportunities for growth. I invite you to explore my portfolio, where you will witness the evolving synergy between my architectural roots and my aspirations in the digital realm. My aspiration is that my work not only embodies the grace of simplicity but also exemplifies the precision of architecture in the realm of UI/UX design and front-end development.

As I navigate this dynamic path, I recognize the value of continuous learning and the profound parallels between architectural craftsmanship and digital design. Each new challenge fuels my desire to expand my horizons and contribute to the world of user-centered, architecturally inspired digital experiences, where precision and simplicity reign supreme.

My Design Theory

When it comes to design, my heart is in creating something that not only looks good but also feels right. It's about that 'Form Follows Function' idea, where design should have a purpose, a soul, you might say. For me, it's like giving each design a reason to exist.

But there's more to it. I've also learned from the wise words of Bjarke Ingels that 'Less is More' from publication 'Yes is More'. That means I like to keep things simple, uncluttered, and beautiful in their simplicity.

So, my design theory is a blend of these two ideas. I want my designs to be more than just pretty pictures; I want them to be helpful, practical, and warm, like an old friend. And I also want them to be clean and easy to understand, like a good story that you can't put down.

What really gets me going in this creative journey is the idea that my designs can touch people's hearts. It's about creating designs that resonate with folks on a deep level, designs that make everyday life a little better and more special. So, in a nutshell, my design philosophy is all about purpose, simplicity, and that magical connection between design and emotion.

Design is not only about beautiful things, it is a method through which people's lives are improved and made easier.

Conclusion & Motivation

In summary, my journey from a background in 3D design and architecture to becoming a seasoned front-end developer and UI/UX designer has equipped me with a unique blend of skills and experiences. I have honed my craft over 12+ years, embracing technologies such as Next.js, TailwindCSS, and OpenAI, and have consistently delivered clean, user-friendly design solutions. My education in graphic design and architecture from esteemed institutions in Slovakia and Denmark laid a strong foundation, while my work experiences in diverse roles, including 3D graphic design and coding, have enriched my skill set. These experiences have culminated in my current status as a passionate UI/UX designer, where I have had the opportunity to create innovative solutions, such as an Employee Management system for a Zurich-based company, leveraging the latest technologies. My goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of my skills, transitioning toward becoming an independent full-stack developer, and building a dev studio with a dynamic team. Each day is a step closer to achieving this goal, and I am eager to contribute my expertise to the next challenge that comes my way.
